Damian Lewis hosted a private event  at St. Paul’s Church, Covent Garden (aka The Actors’ Church)  to celebrate Helen McCrory’s life and her formidable personality.

There was  laughter, tears and a standing ovation in Helen’s honor.

BBC4 Radio Extra has now made Harriett O’Carroll’s Minuet – an hour long radio play – available for a month. Don’t miss this fantastic play in which Helen McCrory gives life to novelist Jane Austen! The story focuses on Austen’s real-life love affair with the son of a Limerick army officer, Tom Leffroy. This affair fuelled Austen’s desire to become a writer.

Peaky Blinders fans have sorely missed Helen McCrory as Aunt Polly in season six.

Helen passed away last year before the latest season began filming, but the impact of the matriarch of the Shelby family has been felt throughout the series.

As the final ever episode of the series airs on Sunday (April 3), the show’s creator Steven Knight has opened up about the spin-off film and the important role that Polly will continue to play in the franchise.

Helen McCrory’s final-ever scenes aired during the penultimate episode of Peaky Blinders season six

Peaky Blinders fans have been left in tears after BBC aired the late Helen McCrory’s final scenes as Aunt Polly Gray. The sixth and final series of Peaky Blinders continued tonight (March 27) on BBC One.

Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy ) set out to change the face of Birmingham’s Chinatown and help his brother Arthur reconcile with ex Linda. Elsewhere in episode five, entitled ‘Road to Hell’, he introduced his secret son Duke to the rest of the family and suffered as his health continued to decline.
