Fashion and film joined forces at the ‘Women Filmmakers Lunch’ hosted by Roland Mouret at London’s Corinthia Hotel ahead of the Cannes Film Festival in celebration of leading female figures throughout the film industry. Roland was joined by female directors, producers, writer, casting directors and actresses including Gillian Anderson, Joely Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave, Charlotte Riley, Elizabeth McGovern, Ellie Bamber, Helen McCrory, Stacy Martin, Zawe Ashton, Esme Creed-Miles, Jessica Brown Findlay and Lily Travers.

Helen and Damian were in attendance for Allie Esiri’s presentation of Women Poets Through the Ages on Sunday evening, April 28, 2019 at Bridge Theatre in London. The poetry curator Allie Esiri and special guest actors, Helena Bonham Carter, Pippa Bennett-Warner and Helen McCrory took the audience on a journey through the history of women’s writing, from Eneheduanna, the world’s first known poet, via Sappho, to the most powerful, illuminating and entertaining women’s writing of today including Maya Angelou and Carol Ann Duffy. The poems were taken from Allie Esiri’s hugely successful anthologies published by Macmillan – A Poem for Every Day of the Year and A Poem for Every Night of the Year.

Letters Live returned to the iconic Union Chapel in Islington, a London borough, for three consecutive nights, March 7th, 8th and 9th, 2019 and we had a heads up that Damian and Helen were spotted.

Helen read Silvia Townsend Warner’s thank you letter for the gift of a matchbox, and reports are saying it was one of the highlights of the evening.
