Actress Helen McCrory beamed with delight on Tuesday as she was awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
The Peaky Blinders star, 49, could not contain her joy as she proudly posed after her Investiture ceremony with husband Damian Lewis, and her honour for services to drama in hand. Helen radiates beside Damian as she collected her OBE… after revealing she mistook the invite for an unpaid bill.
The mother-of-two went on to reveal she had almost missed the exciting event – as she had mistaken her invitation letter for an unpaid bill. ‘I thought ‘Oh God, he hasn’t paid something again!’

Damian Lewis can’t keep his hands off his wife Helen McCrory as she leans in for a kiss during Wimbledon semi-finals They celebrated their tenth marriage anniversary in the first week of July.
Damian Lewis, 46, and Helen McCrory, 48, showed they were the perfect match at the Wimbledon Championships, in London on Friday. The Homeland actor was unable to keep his hands off his wife as he wrapped his arm firmly around the actress while they watched the tennis.

Dressed to impress, Wolf Hall’s Henry VIII donned a suit jacket with a chocolate coloured tie to match. The four-times Golden Globes nominee showed off his classically handsome good looks and styled his hair in a quiff.

The crème de la crème the British acting world were celebrating Tom Stoppard’s 80th birthday over the weekend.
And arriving at the lavish bash at the Physic Garden in Chelsea were Damian Lewis and his wife Helen McCrory, who were bringing their young children Manon, 10, and Gulliver, nine, along for the evening.
The artsy family were in high spirits as they prepared to celebrate the legendary playwright and screenwriter’s landmark year. Damian was keeping things casual in a bright orange patterned shirt set off with a cream coloured cap. Helen opted for a clashing palette of pinks and red, topping off her vibrant look thanks to a gingham sunhat.
