Debbi Clark has had work featured in Vogue, Homme, and Tatler, photographed the likes of Kate Moss and Damian Lewis and set up her own charity. We speak to the woman who’s capable of it all…

When did you become interested in photography?
It was when I was studying fashion and design at St. Martin’s College when I fell in love with photography. I used to photograph landscapes, capturing patterns in trees, flowers, grass picturing shapes, shadows and formations in clouds. I became so obsessed with how fascinating it was playing with light that I wanted to learn the technical side to really bring my images to life. I then went on to LCP and studied photography and printing. My first camera was the Olympus PEN-F 35mm film camera, which I still love and use.

Helen McCrory Takes to Stage for UCS Hampstead Speech Day

On 24th May, staff, pupils and parents gathered to congratulate prize winners and bid farewell to the outgoing Sixth Form at this year’s Speech and Prize Giving Ceremony.

Helen McCrory OBE was this year’s guest of honour and after giving out prizes to pupils who have excelled throughout the academic year, and to pupils who are joining UCS having received scholarship prizes following impressive performances in the school’s entrance assessments, Helen delivered a truly memorable speech to a packed Great Hall. The 800 strong audience hung on every word as she encouraged everyone to “break the fear barriers in your life, vote, be passionate, and respect and empathise with others”.

Who’s the Smiliest Thespian Couple?

So long as Damian Lewis and Helen McCrory are in the same room, there are sure to be smiles. The British couple, who married in July 2007 and are parents to daughter Manon and son Gulliver, no doubt have one happy home, residing in North London. The Homeland actor and Peaky Blinders actress originally met in 2003, when the pair starred in Five Gold Rings at London’s Almeida Theatre.
