They have been enjoying wedded bliss for more than twelve years.

And Damian Lewis and his wife Helen McCrory looked every inch the sophisticated couple as they attended the 65th annual Evening Standard Theatre Awards held at The London Coliseum on Sunday.

The Homeland actor, 48, looked dapper at the star-studded event, donning a black blazer and matching trousers with a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie.

Helen, 51, looked radiant as ever as she posed on the red carpet alongside her other half in a black off the shoulder gown.

The Peaky Blinders star sported a cropped hairdo and completed her look for the evening with a pair of bejeweled earrings.

Damian and Helen first hit it off while starring in Five Gold Rings at London’s Almeida in 2003, and tied the knot four years later.

The celebrity couple now raise their two children, 12-year-old daughter Manon and 11-year-old son Gulliver, at their home in north London.

Helen revealed to the Radio Times in the past that when she met the actor, it had been love at first sight.

‘He just made me laugh a lot. And still does,’ she gushed of her husband. ‘Of course, everyone in life wants someone to love and be loved by, but I think I was always just engrossed and involved in work.

“And no, the timing was pure fluke, pure chance, it always is, isn’t it?’

Back in September, Helen and Damian were on hand to help honour finance workers killed in the September 11 attacks, as they took calls on behalf of their chosen charity Cure EB.

Damian, Helen and their children represented Cure EB, a charity dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for painful skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa.

The actor has a long standing affiliation with the charity and had previously raised money for Cure EB during a previous appearance at the annual event in 2018.
