I added 16 personal images of Helen to the image archive. Most of the pictures were uploaded by her co-stars or the people she worked with on projects. A lot of them are behind the scenes images of Penny Dreadful and all of them were posted on Twitter. I credited all of them and if you’re one of the original owners of these pictures and want them removed from the site, please contact me.

Thanks to Rebecca for the links to the images!

Helen stars as Iris Murdoch in “Iris Murdoch: Dream Girl”, a hallucinogenic trip through the novelist’s life, by Robin Brooks – part of the Iris Murdoch season on BBC Radio 4. It aired on August 22 and there are 24 days left to listen to it here.

When Iris, lying asleep beside husband John, wakes in the middle of a midsummer night, she discovers that she is to be visited by three spirits, and is to be conducted on a journey through both her past and her writing.

But who are these spirits accompanying her? What do they have to show her about her past misdemeanours, and how art may be made from them? And what dread monster coils in the shadows, ready to strike?

Iris Murdoch’s spectacularly bad behaviour and her extraordinary rise as a famous and popular novelist through the 1950s, 60s and 70s, are the themes behind this inventive new comedy drama. Iris was a woman with an insatiable appetite for life, love and literature – her experiences and numerous love affairs with both sexes shaped her writing and fed into her novels.

The Iris Murdoch season on Radio 4 also includes dramatisations of two of her best novels – ‘The Sea, The Sea’ starring Jeremy Irons and ‘A Severed Head’ starring Julian Rhind-Tutt.

Welcome to Helen McCrory Network, the newest fansite dedicated to the amazing and extremely talented British actress Helen McCrory. I’ve had the idea of opening a site to support Helen for quite a while now and I’m so glad to finally open it today. I’m aiming to provide fans with the latest news, pictures and media on Helen. However, this site will slowly but surely become a resource on Helen and her complete work, from the beginning to today. As you can see, the site is far from being complete but I wanted to open it to everyone anyway. I’m working hard on uploading images, filling the pages with more information etc. Stay tuned!

I’ve also opened the photo gallery which will be updated with images daily. It’ll contain professional images, magazine scans, screen captures and many more pictures featuring Helen. I have to make sure though that this site will not contain paparazzi candids since I wish to maintain and accept Helen and her family’s privacy. However, candid pictures from movie sets will be added.

This fansite is run by fans for fans and is not an official website. It is merely a labor of love to support Helen and keep fans up-to-date. Thanks to everyone who is participating!

This site’s currently a subdomain of Flaunt.nu but as soon it has developed, we’ll move to our own domain.
